WATCH//Fashioning the Future

The Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF) has developed a video to showcase the finalists from the Fashioning the Future Awards. I am unable to embed the video here, so just click on the image below and you’re there. Check it out!

Here is my quote:

“Although consumer education will continue to play a role in shaping the creation of a socially responsible fashion industry, signals of deception such as greenwashing, unintelligent design, and hidden ingredients have left consumers with no real choice. Design education however, has the potential to transform the fashion industry. Social Alterations represents a system of innovation that seeks to transform conventional design practice in order to create social and environmental change within the industry.”

Please take the time to check out the video, and the finalists.
